Welcome to the Trust

The Trust provides participants and their eligible family members with comprehensive medical coverage and more.

Getting started

When you become eligible you will be sent a letter letting you know that you may enroll for coverage.

Once you meet the requirements in your employer’s collective bargaining agreement, consistent with Trust guidelines, you will become eligible for contributions to be made to the Trust on your behalf. You must be an active employee with the minimum number of compensable hours or hours worked (usually 80) during a month for any one employer who makes Plan contributions.

Coverage is typically applied on the ‘lag month’ eligibility system. For example, if you first meet the minimum hours required in January (Month 1), your employer will make a contribution in February (Month 2) and your coverage is available for March (Month 3).

Please note that eligibility rules may differ on loss of eligibility and for employers who utilize a dollar or hour bank. Refer to your collective bargaining agreement and complete Summary Plan Description for eligibility and enrollment rules.
