For many people they can try and fail at quitting tobacco several times. Studies from the American Cancer Society show that people who quit tobacco with a support team are more likely to succeed. That’s why the Trust offers all PPO Plan participants the Quit For Life® Program at no cost.

With Quit For Life, a professional coach can help you identify your triggers, create methods of dealing with the cravings, and keep you on track, motivated and informed. The program includes:

  • Quitting Aids: nicotine substitutes or medications that are right for you

  • A Quit Guide: an easy-to-use workbook to help you stick with your plan

  • Quit Coaches®: expert support and assistance whenever you need it

The program is fully paid for by the Trust and offered to all PPO plan participants and covered dependents 18 years of age and older.

Participation Incentives

Through Quit For Life® you and your eligible spouse could be eligible for nicotine replacement therapy, which is covered in full and combines nicotine replacement products (nicotine gum and patches, if eligible) with the support of a personal coach.

In addition, if you complete three calls with your Quit Coach, you could also receive a $50 check just for participating.

The $50 check is a taxable incentive of around $75 depending on the state in which you reside. Estimated state (if any) and federal taxes of around $25 have been withheld and paid by the Trust, resulting in your net check of $50. You will receive a W2 from the Trust after year-end.
