The Trust offers PPO plan participants and their families many options for seeking mental health support. From traditional talk therapy to health coaching, to online resources and more. All services are confidential, and many are available to you at no cost.

ComPsych® GuidanceResources® is your EAP – Employee Assistance Program. It offers virtual and in-person counseling services, advice, and guidance on a variety of topics – from relationship challenges to financial and legal guidance and work-life balance solutions.

When to choose it: If you would like assistance managing stress for family concerns, money issues, life transitions, caretaking for children or elders, or even just managing everyday anxiety and worry, GuidanceResources offers support 24 hours a day, every day.

There are many different types of therapists and counselors who specialize in marriage and family, children and teens, trauma, and more, and practice different forms of therapy. You can meet with a therapist for a few visits for short-term issues or to see if they best match your needs, or if you like, you can establish for ongoing sessions.

When to choose it: If stress is interfering with your daily life or health, or if you would like to talk through something that is going on to get some resources or perspective, speaking to a mental health professional can be helpful. Therapists are trained to help with marital and family issues, grief and loss, managing a chronic condition, personal growth exploration, and much more.

Accolade Care is the Trust’s one stop for all things healthcare. Accolade gives you access not only to board-certified therapists, but also to doctors and specialists. WellRight Health Coaching is a personalized phone-coaching program that connects you to trained health coaches. Work one-on-one with a health coach to identify key stressors and get support to make simple lifestyle changes.

When to choose it: If you are having stress or other issues that don’t interfere with your daily life or health too much or would like help building healthy habits a health coaching might be a good choice for you.

Visit the Trust’s WellRight site. If it’s your first visit, you’ll be asked to register first on the nwadmin.com website to be able to access the WellRight site.

When to seek support

If you notice any of these symptoms, it might be time to talk to a primary care provider or a mental health professional:

  • Difficulty concentrating, feeling restless, or on edge

  • Increased use of alcohol, drugs, or both

  • Persistent feelings of hopelessness

  • Feeling flat or having trouble feeling positive emotions

  • Increased anger, irritability, or aggressiveness

  • Noticeable changes in mood, energy level, or appetite

  • Ongoing aches, headaches, or digestive problems without a clear cause

Please note, if you are having a mental health crisis or suicidal thoughts, please seek help immediately. The national Suicide and Crisis line can be reached at any time by dialing 988.

Addiction & substance abuse services

Addiction specialists and counselors work with people working to overcome addiction. Care can range from outpatient one-on-one sessions, group sessions or inpatient care. Participants can seek care through their PPO medical benefits, or the ComPsych® GuidanceResources® EAP.

When to use it: If you or a family member are struggling with substance abuse, or any form of addiction, and would like support and to explore your treatment options or meeting guidelines for government regulations such as the Drug-Free Workplace Act, and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations.
