Stress happens in everyone’s life, but as a Washington Teamsters Welfare Trust participant you don’t have to tackle it on your own. Mental Health and counseling services are available to Plan participants for a variety of concerns. Please select your plan below to find out more.
This no cost service is provided by the Trust and is designed to offer assistance and help with resources, online tools or finding a provider for personal or family problems. Your ComPsych® GuidanceResources® program offers someone to talk to and resources 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on a wide variety of topics.
Confidential Emotional Support—Our highly trained clinicians will listen to your concerns and help you or your family members with any issues, including:
- Anxiety, depression, stress
- Grief, loss and life adjustments
- Relationship/marital conflicts
Work-Life Solutions—Our specialists provide qualified referrals and resources for just about anything on your to-do list, such as:
- Finding child and elder care
- Hiring movers or home repair contractors
- Planning events, locating pet care
Legal Guidance—Talk to our attorneys for practical assistance with your most pressing legal issues, including:
- Divorce
- Adoption and family law
- Wills, trusts and more

Substance abuse services are offered to Trust participants through the ComPsych® GuidanceResources® program. ComPsych offers comprehensive services including assessments and counseling, treatment options, access to care programs and rehabilitation, and guidance on after-care. A trained ComPsych professional advises participants along the way, provides referral and makes sure that the participant meets all guidelines for government regulations such as the Drug-Free Workplace Act, and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations.

As a Kaiser Permanente participant, you have access to Behavioral Health Services (BHS). BHS pre-authorizes and coordinates non-emergency mental health and chemical dependency care. You do not need a referral from your personal physician to get these services and you can call if you have:
- Marital issues
- Parenting concerns
- Emotional concerns
- Problems with substance abuse
- Addiction concerns
