Mental Health Support Resources

The Trust offers participants and their families many options for seeking mental health support. From traditional talk therapy to health coaching, resources for life management and more. All options are confidential, and many are available to you at no cost.

Please note, if you are having a mental health crisis or having suicidal thoughts, please seek help immediately. The national Suicide and Crisis line can be reached at any time by dialing 988.

Trust Medical Plan
Health Coaching

What is it? Vivacity Health Coaching is a personalized phone-coaching program that connects you to trained health coaches. Work one-on-one with a Vivacity health coach to identify key stressors and get support to make simple lifestyle changes.

When to choose it: If you are having stress or other issues that don’t interfere with your daily life or health too much or would like help building healthy habits health coaching might be a good choice for you.

Vivacity Health Coaching

Visit the Trust’s Vivacity site. If it’s your first visit, you’ll be asked to register and answer a few health questions.

Short-Term Therapy

What is it? Accolade Care is the Trust’s one stop for all things healthcare. Accolade gives you access not only to board-certified therapists, but also to doctors and specialists. Meet with a therapist for a few visits, or if you like, you can establish for ongoing sessions. Initial virtual sessions are offered at no cost.

When to choose it: If you have a new issue that you aren’t sure about it, would like to try out therapy, or would like to talk through something and get some resources or perspective, it can be helpful to have just a few sessions with a licensed therapist.

Employee Assistance Program

What is it? ComPsych® GuidanceResources® is your EAP – Employee Assistance Program. It offers virtual and in-person counseling services, advice, and guidance on a variety of topics – from relationship challenges to financial and legal guidance and work-life balance solutions.

When to choose it: If you would like assistance managing stress for family concerns, money issues, life transitions, caretaking for children or elders, or even just managing everyday anxiety and worry, GuidanceResources offers support 24 hours a day, every day.

Therapy and Counseling

What is it? There are many different types of therapists and counselors who specialize in marriage and family, children and teens, trauma, and more, and practice different forms of therapy. You have access to thousands of therapists through your Premera Medical Plan benefits, and Accolade Care. Don’t hesitate to research and screen multiple therapists until you find one that best matches your needs.

When to choose it: If your stress is interfering with your daily life or health, speaking to a mental health professional can help you with marital and family issues, grief and loss, managing a chronic condition, personal growth, and so much more.

Addiction Services

What is it? Addiction specialists and counselors work with people working to overcome addiction. Care can range from outpatient one-on-one sessions, group sessions or inpatient care. Participants can seek care through their medical benefits, or the ComPsych® GuidanceResources® EAP.

When to use it: If you or a family member are struggling with substance use, or any form of addiction and would like support and to explore your treatment options.

When to Seek Support?

If you notice any of these symptoms, it might be time to talk to your primary care or a mental health professional:

 

  • Difficulty concentrating, feeling restless, or on edge
  • Increased use of alcohol, drugs, or both
  • Persistent feelings of hopelessness
  • Feeling flat or having trouble feeling positive emotions
  • Increased anger, irritability, or aggressiveness
  • Noticeable changes in mood, energy level, or appetite
  • Ongoing aches, headaches, or digestive problems without a clear cause
